John J. Darcy

Waltham – Mr. John J. Darcy, Jr. of Waltham died Monday, August 2, 2004 in Cape Cod Hospital. He was 73. Born in Newton, a son of the late John J. and Margaret (Murray) Darcy, he was a resident of Waltham for 53 years. Mr. Darcy graduated from Saint Mary’s High School in Waltham and from Boston University. Until his retirement he was chief operations officer at G.T.E. in Needham for forty years. Mr. Darcy leaves his wife, Doris M. (Belliveau) Darcy; his children, Kevin M. Darcy of Norfolk, Brian J. Darcy and Debra M. Pelletier both of Waltham; his sister, Margurite Heintz of Westport, CT; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to charity of one’s choice.
