Epping, NH – Mr. John Drover of Epping, formerly of Burlington, died Thursday, July 14, 2016 in his home on his 85th birthday.
John was born and raised in Chelsea, a son of the late George and Elsie (Shepherd) Drover. He had been a longtime Burlington resident before moving to New Hampshire ten years ago.
He worked in the automotive field all his life and for years was the owner of Performance Motor Parts in Bedford. He was a master mechanic and a skilled machinist, known by family and friends alike as the man who could fix anything.
The husband of the late Gertrude E. (Luskin) Drover he leaves his children, John E. Drover of Barnstead New Hampshire, Barbara A. Carrigan and Kathleen M. Drover, both of Epping New Hampshire; his grandchildren, Kelly Carrigan, Christopher Drover and his wife, Rosemary Su, Carolyn Drover and Kaylee Drover; his sisters, Ann Gosselin and Joanne Stotts; his longtime companion, Janet Marden and many nieces and nephews.
He was also a brother of the late William Drover, Sadie Thompson, Walter Drover, Ginger Bouley and George Drover.
Family and friends will honor and remember John's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, July 18th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Mark's Episcopal Church, 10 St. Mark's Road, Burlington, where his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington.
