Newton – Mr. John C. Foreman, of Newton, died on Monday, July 15, 2019. He was 70.
John was born in Waltham on March 6, 1949, the son of the late Randolph and Olive (Carson) Foreman. Following a move to Watertown John graduated from Watertown High in 1968. John played violin and attended Longy School of Music in Cambridge to study his craft.
During the Vietnam War he served with the United States Air Force.
After he got out of the service he went to work at Coolidge Bank & Trust Co. in Watertown. In 1981 he took a job with the Raytheon Company where he worked until retiring in 2015.
At home in Newton, he could be found outside cultivating his garden, winter vacations were spent skiing up north, and in the summer months he enjoyed time out on the water kayaking and canoeing in Ogunquit, Maine.
He leaves his husband, Steven Speyer and his cousins, Shirley M. Garlisi and Barbara J. Schuler, both of Maynard and their families.
He was also the brother of the late Randolph Foreman, Jr.
Family and friends will honor and remember John's life by gathering for a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 19th in Mount Feake Cemetery, 203 Prospect Street, Waltham.
