Randolph - Mr. John Mason Higgins of Randolph, died Wednesday, August 31, 2011 in Milton Hospital. He was 66.
John was born in Newton on March 3, 1945, a son of the late Jamison and Jasmine (Lupo) Higgins, and had lived in Waltham and in Dedham before moving to Randolph in 1996. Until his retirement he worked as a civil and structural engineer and was also a talented carpenter.
He leaves his wife, Carolyn D. (McIntyre) Higgins; his son, James Mason Higgins and his wife, Melissa; his grandchildren, Jacqueline M., Alyssa M., Jacob J., and Julia L. Higgins; his siblings, J.C. Higgins, Jarrett Russo, Jerome Higgins, Danielle Byers, Tracy, Jude and Jeff Higgins and Kathy Butler and his step-brothers, George, Richard and Robert Carson.
Family and friends will honor and remember John's life by gathering in The Blessed Sacrament Chapel of Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham on Thursday, September 15 where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 6 p.m. Burial will be private.
