Waltham – Mr. John J. Kelly, of Waltham, formerly of Mission Hill, died Saturday, May 6, 2017.

Born and raised in Mission Hill he was a graduate of Mission Hill High School in 1955 and years later went back to school where he earned his bachelor's degree from Boston College in 1975.

The beloved husband of the late Ellen M. (Daley) Kelly, he leaves his daughter, Catherine A. Magliarditi and her husband Peter of Waltham; his grandchildren, Emma and Paul Magliarditi; his sisters and brother, Mary Paras and her husband John of Norwood, Anne Sullivan and her husband Tom of Lexington, Robert Kelly and his wife Margaret of Stratford, Connecticut and Irene Kelly of Stoughton and many nieces and nephews.

John was also the brother of the late Gerard and Eugene Kelly.

Family and friends will honor and remember John's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday May 10th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River St., Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Feake Cemetery, Waltham.

Memorials in his name may be made to the Good Shepherd Hospice 90 Wells Ave., Newton, MA. 02459.
