Mr. John F. Kirchdorfer, Sr of Waltham died Thursday April 1, 2004 at the New England Medical Center, Boston. He was 74. Born in Needham. A son of the late John and Mary (Dennis) Kirchdorfer, Mr. Kirchdorfer was a carpenter for the City of Newton for thirty five years before his retirement in 1992. He was a member of the Joseph F. Hill American Legion Post #156 in Waltham and was also a Korean War veteran serving in the Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Rose M. (Falcone) Kirchdorfer, his children John F. Kirchdorfer, Jr of Waltham, Cynthia M. Arone and her husband Nicholas of Maynard, Lisa A. Kirchdorfer of Winchester, and Ann M. Kirchdorfer of Acton, one granddaughter Jennifer Arone, two sisters Ann Harding and Mary Burke both of Florida and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel of Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street Waltham at 10a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Charity of your choice.
