Watertown – Mr. John T. Moruzzi, of Watertown, died Sunday, December 3, 2017 in Mt. Auburn Hospital, Cambridge surrounded by his family. He was 75.
John was born in Chelsea on August 3, 1942, the son of the late John A. and Stella (Anacki) Moruzzi. He was raised in Arlington and after graduating from Arlington High School he joined the United States Marine Corps where he served honorably from 1961 to 1964. He had lived in Cambridge until 2003 when he moved to Watertown.
He loved military history and had been a member of the Woburn Sportsmen's Association as well as the National Rifle Association. He was a great cook and enjoyed spending time camping especially at Mohawk Trail State Forest in Charlemont and Wyman's Beach in Westford where his family spent many happy summers. John's favorite vacation spot was Hawaii and he was thrilled to have taken three trips there with his wife.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Anne M. (Utley) Moruzzi; his son John A. Moruzzi and his wife, Michelle, of Arlington and his grandson and namesake, John T. Moruzzi.
Family and friends will honor and remember John's life by gathering to visit from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 10th in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham where his funeral service will be held at 4 p.m.
