Mr. John P. Ryan, of Waltham, died Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Emerson Village in Watertown. He was 79. Born in Boston, a son of the late Patrick and Mildred (McMahon) Ryan, John was a chef for over forty years at the Brighton Marine Hospital until his retirement. John had lived in Waltham since 1959 and was a member of the P.F.C. John M. Sullivan, U.S.M.C. V.F.W. Post No. 10334 in Waltham. He was a Korean War veteran serving with the United States Army. He was the brother of the late Thomas, William Joseph Ryan and Audrey Hall. John Leaves his wife, Josephine M. (Mazza) Ryan; one son, John P. Ryan, Jr. of Waltham; one daughter, Deborah R. Janjigian and her husband Haig of Watertown; one brother, James Ryan of West Roxbury and one granddaughter, Amber Janjigian. Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in Mount Feake Cemetery, 203 Prospect Street Waltham.
