Boston - Mr. John A. Sullivan, of Boston, died Saturday, December 9, 2006 in Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston. He was 78. Born in Berlin, New Hampshire, John had lived in New Hampshire before moving to Boston fifty years ago. He was a graduate of New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire and was employed as a manager for the John Hancock Life Insurance Company in Boston for thirty-seven years. John was an avid reader and Red Sox fan and enjoyed playing golf. He was a Korean War veteran who served with the United States Navy. He was the son of the late J. Arthur and Pauline (Sheridan) Sullivan, and is survived by his sister, Mary Louise Armstrong of Beloite, Wisconsin; his nephew, David Armstrong of Madison, Wisconsin; his niece, Susan Case of Munich, Germany; three grand nephews, and several cousins including Bob Sullivan of Waltham. Visitation will be held Friday, December 15, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, New Hampshire followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Anne's Church in Berlin at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Berlin. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
