Mr. John Voros, of Newton, died at home on Saturday, December 7, 2013. He was 93.
John was born on April 14, 1920 in Velence, Hungary a son of the late John and Julianna (Olah) Voros. Raised and educated in Hungary he studied at the Lizst Ferenc Academy of Music and was a noted violinist and conductor. He immigrated to the United States in 1956.
While in the states John worked as a custodian at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge for over 20 years.
He is brother of the late Lazlo, Maria, Esther and Irene Voros.
John leaves his wife of 59 years, Rozalia (Novicki) Voros; his children John F. Voros and Marian F. Voros and her companion, Jeffrey Kabot; his grandson, Alexander Voros, all of Newton.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember John's life on Tuesday, December 10 in Newton Cemetery, 791 Walnut Street, Newton where his graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. There are no calling hours.
