John G. Wallace

Waltham - Mr. John G. Wallace, of Waltham, died Friday, March 14, 2008 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 75. Born in Boston, a son of the late William and Mary (Meade) Wallace, John had lived in Waltham for many years. He worked for The Boston Company for over thirty years, retiring as a vice-president in 1996. He leaves his wife of 44 years, Lucy C. (Papia) Wallace; his children, Arlene M. Lonergan of Framingham, John W. Wallace and his wife, Kim, of Winchester and Brian J. Wallace and his wife, Becky, of Manchester, Connecticut; his grandchildren, Timothy, Benjamin, Henry and Kayla; two brothers, William Wallace of Stoneham and Joseph Wallace of Dunedin, Florida; one sister, Madeline Owens of Roslindale and many nieces and nephews. John was also a brother of the late Irene Wallace and Dorothy Wallace. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
