Joseph N. Brescia

Waltham - Mr. Joseph N. Brescia, Sr., of Waltham, formerly of Watertown, died Wednesday September 3, 2008 in his home. He was 85. Born in Cambridge, a son of the late Paul and Emma (Rogers) Brescia, Joe was a shipper and receiver for many years until his retirement. He was a World War II veteran serving with the United States Army. Joe was the husband of the late Anna F. (Cristello) Brescia, and father of the late Joseph N. Brescia, Jr., Paul Brescia, Joanne F. Brescia and brother of the late Mildred Zanni, Helen Vacca and Robert Brescia. He leaves one brother John Brescia of Burlington; one sister, Anna Lauria and her husband, Guy, of Woburn and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Monday at 8 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Patrick's Church, 212 Main Street, Watertown at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
