Newton – Mr. Joseph R. Buccacio, of Newton, died Friday, April 15, 2011 in his home. He was 58.
Joe was born in Eatontown, New Jersey on March 5, 1953, a son of the late Salvatore and Barbara (Carver) Buccacio. He lived in Watertown and in Brighton before moving to Newton five years ago. He worked as a toll collector for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority and was a huge New York Giants and Boston Celtics fan.
He leaves his sisters, B. Joan Bryson and Judith L. Lively both of Waltham and Jayne M. Homer of Conn. and many nieces and nephews.
Joe was also a brother of the late John C. and Jeffrey P. Buccacio.
Family and friends will honor and remember Joe’s life by gathering to visit at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 25th, in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be private.
Memorial donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 104 Scotland Road, Madison, CT 06443.
