Waltham – Mr. Joseph R. 'Larry' Dupuis, of Waltham, died Wednesday, August 1, 2012 in Cambridge Hospital. He was 83.
Larry was born in Waltham on May 8, 1929, a son of the late Edward and Emma (Boudreau) Dupuis. He and his family lived in Moncton, New Brunswick, for several years before moving back to Waltham when he was 17. After that he began a long career working as a machinist for the Raytheon Company until his retirement twenty-one years ago.
Larry was devoted to his family and is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Agnes T. (Fowler) Dupuis; his children, Donna M. Rossi and her spouse, Victor, of North Reading, Diane L. McDonough and her spouse, Patrick, of Waltham, William J. Dupuis of Columbus, Ohio and Deven Zipp and her spouse, Allyson, of Olympia, Washington; his sister, Elta Dupuis of Texas; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was also a brother of the late Edward, Roger, and Leo Dupuis.
Family and friends will honor and remember Larry's life by gathering to visit at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning, August 4th, in the Chapel of the Holy Innocents at The Fernald Center, 200 Trapelo Road, Waltham, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
