Waltham – Mr. Joseph E. Hanley, of Waltham, died Friday, May 2, 2014. He was 48.
Joe was born in Boston on October 6, 1965, a son of Yvette (Gautreau) Hanley of Brighton and the late George Hanley. He lived in Brighton until his marriage to Watertown native Denise M. Boudrot in Saint Patrick's Church. The couple soon moved to Waltham where they have been residents since.
He worked as a foreman for Galen Auto Body in Dedham and had been a member of the Knights of Columbus, Watertown Council No. 155.
In addition to his wife and his mother, Joe leaves his children, Nicole T. Hanley, Michael J. Hanley and Steven F. Hanley, all of Waltham; his sisters and brothers, David Hanley of Norwood, Kevin Hanley of Waltham, Mark Hanley of Framingham, Joan MacKay, Roberta LeBlanc, both of Nashua, New Hampshire, Marie Hanley of Hyde Park, George Hanley, Elaine Hanley and Rosemary Hanley, all of Brighton and many nieces and nephews.
Joe was also a brother of the late Clayton Hanley, John Hanley, Paul Hanley and Elizabeth Hanley.
Family and friends will honor and remember Joe's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday, May 7th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery, Waltham.
