Mr. Joseph R. Inferrera, Jr., of Lunenburg, formerly of Watertown, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 in Emerson Hospital, Concord. He was 68.
Joe was born in Boston on August 28, 1954, the son of the late Joseph R., Sr. and Phyllis (Wilson) Inferrera. Raised in Watertown, he graduated from Watertown High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from Tufts University.
After a career in technology sales he purchased and operated a gas station with his father for a number of years in Natick.
Joe was a reliable handyman and loved working with his hands. With no project too big or too small, he had a talent for refurbishing homes and automobiles.
In addition to his parents, he is reunited in Heaven with his sisters, the late Dawna M. Traversi and Patricia Gorgone.
He leaves his brothers-in-law, Alfred A.Traversi of Concord and Paul Gorgone of Dennis, and five nieces and nephews and their families.
Family and friends will honor and remember Joe’s life by gathering to visit on Wednesday morning, February 8th from 9 to 10 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Watertown.
