Mr. J. Raymond Landry Sr., of Lexington, formerly of Waltham, died Saturday, October 22, 2005. Born in Old Town, Maine, son of the late Ernest L. and Mary E. (Godin) Landry, he was raised, educated and spent most of his life in Waltham. During World War II, Mr. Landry worked at Raytheon on the Critical Defense Team for Radar Development. He also worked as a self-employed machinist for many years before retiring. Mr. Landry was the husband of 62 years to the late Charlotte A. (Anderson) Landry. He was the father of the late Carol M. Landry. He was also the brother of the late Edward, Joseph, George, Francis, Leon, Lucy, Mary and Agnes Landry. He is survived by five children, Joseph R. Landry Jr. and his wife Jean of Ohio, Robert E. Landry and his wife Fran of Burlington, Marilyn A. Estlick and her husband David of Connecticut, Diane C. Lawson and her husband James of Missouri and Carolyn E. Whalen and her husband Joseph of Lynn; 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9 a.m. Wednesday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Marys Church, 133 School Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
