Joseph C. MacDonald

Waltham – Mr. Joseph C. MacDonald, of Waltham, died Monday, November 26, 2018 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was 53.

Joe was born on February 18, 1965, one of twelve children born to the late John R. and Jean L. (Blake) MacDonald. He was raised in Watertown and after graduating from Watertown High earned his Bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

A Waltham resident since 2003 he worked for more than twenty years as a manager at Boston Scientific.

He was the devoted brother of Carolyn J. Sullivan of Blackstone, John R. MacDonald of Yelm, Washington, George R. MacDonald of Saco, Maine, Brian S. MacDonald of Watertown, Jean L. MacDonald of Watertown, Michael J. MacDonald of Natick, Jacqueline J. McDonald of Weymouth, Mary M. Causland of Waltham, Jill A. Papazian of Waltham, James J. MacDonald of Watertown and was a loving uncle to his nieces, nephews and their families.

Joe was also a brother of the late Sheryl A. Raffaelo.

Family and friends will honor and remember Joe's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, November 29th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown.
