Joseph F. Pendergast

Melrose – Mr. Joseph F. Pendergast, of Melrose, died Friday, April 7, 2006 at Kindred Hospital, Peabody. He was 89. Born and raised in Waltham, he was a son of the late Joseph F. and Catherine E. (Maguire) Pendergast. He had lived and worked in Buffalo, New York for many years before moving to Melrose 11 years ago. Joe was a graduate of Waltham High School and had served with the United States Army during World War II. He leaves his sister, Margaret E. Sacht of Malden and a dear friend, Carol Doherty of Melrose. He was also a brother of the late Mae, Mildred, William and Francis Pendergast and Ann Barringer. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Calvary Cemetery, 250 High Street, Waltham.
