Joseph A. Zadrozny, M.D., age 77, died Saturday, July 7, 2007, at Christopher House, Worcester, Massachusetts due to complications from Parkinsons Disease. He was born in Clinton, Massachusetts, son of the late Walter and Anna (Zarnack) Zadrozny, and was the youngest of 13 children. He graduated from Clinton High School, Clinton, Massachusetts in 1947, and served in the US Army as a Corporal and as a Cryptographic Technician from 1947-1950. He was awarded the Occupation Medal (Germany). He graduated Cum Laude from Holy Cross College, Worcester, Massachusetts in 1954 and Georgetown Medical School in Washington, D.C. in 1958 where he received his M.D. Degree. He was a Pediatrician in private practice in Waltham, Massachusetts for 33 years. He was a Clinical Instructor and Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at Tufts New England Medical School and Center, Chief of Pediatrics at Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts from 1966-1967, and Chief of Pediatrics at Waltham Hospital, Waltham, Massachusetts from 1967-1972. He served on numerous committees at Waltham Hospital and was a Waltham School physician from 1990-1994. He was a member of the AMA, Massachusetts Medical Society and Charles River Medical Society. He was also very active in local Waltham politics for many years and worked on former Congressman Joseph Kennedys campaign. He is survived by his children, Elaine Zadrozny of Ashburnham, Massachusetts, Denise Rael and her husband, Tito, of Menlo Park, California, Daniel Zadrozny, and his wife, Anissa, of Orlando, Florida, Jennifer Zadrozny and Joseph A. Zadrozny, II, both of Worcester, Massachusetts; his sister, Ann Mierzejewski of Worcester; and three grandchildren, Chris, Navid and Iman. His oldest son, Raymond Zadrozny, predeceased him in 1987. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Friday at 9:30 am from The Joyce Funeral Home 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham, followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham, at 10:30 am. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:15 pm. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 5-7 pm.
