Josephine T. Attardo

Waltham - Mrs. Josephine T. (Manero) Attardo, of Waltham, died Sunday, July 12, 2009 at Belmont Manor Nursing Home. She was 84. Born in Waltham on January 27, 1925, a daughter of the late Santo and Antonina (Algeri) Manero, Josephine was a homemaker and a longtime resident of Waltham. She leaves her children, Maria F. DeMarco of Pepperell, Anthony J. Attardo and his wife, Anne, of Hudson, New Hampshire, Joseph L. Attardo, Jr. of Waltham, Michael A. Attardo and his wife, Maria, of South Brunswick, New Jersey, Nina M. Forster and her husband, Mark, of Marlboro, Nancy A. Cormier and her husband, Richard, of Wayland, and John F. Attardo and his wife, Barbara, of Manchester, New Hampshire; one brother, Charles Manero of Stow; her grandchildren, Catherine Stanley, Brian Attardo, Stephanie and Jennifer DeMarco, Jessica, Kaitlin, and Michelle Attardo, Mark and Stephen Forster, and Ariel, Rosalita, and Blase Cormier and many nieces and nephews. Josephine was the wife of the late Joseph L. Attardo; mother of the late Stephanie Attardo; mother-in-law of the late David DeMarco and sister of the late James Manero, Rosalie Manero, Concetta Casella and Angelina Badger. Family and friends will honor and remember Josephine's life by gathering for calling hours at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9.m. on Wednesday before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
