Josephine M. DeMello

Waltham- Mrs. Josephine M. ( Leary) DeMello of Waltham died Sunday June 24, 2007 at Newton- Wellesley Hospital. She was 82. Born in South Boston, a daughter of the late Edward and Margaret Ethel ( Butler) Leary, Josephine has lived in Waltham for over fifty years and was a secretary for many years. Josephine enjoyed ballroom dancing, cooking, and playing bingo. Josephine was a graduate of Cambridge, Ridge and Latin High School and was a member of the V.F.W. Women’s Auxiliary in Waltham Josephine was the wife of the late Renato E. DeMello Josephine leaves her children, Ronald DeMello and his wife Sara of Miami, Florida, Carol Thibodeau and her husband Scott of San Angelo, Texas, and Kenneth DeMello of Waltham, one brother Edward Leary of Lowell, one sister Helen Whalen of Norwood, six granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street ( Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel of Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street Waltham at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations may be made to the Home for Little Wonderers, 271 Huntington Ave Boston, Mass 02115
