Joyce R. Rotchford

Watertown – Joyce R. Rotchford, of Watertown, died Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Emerson Hospital in Concord. She was 64.

Joyce was born in Waltham on September 9, 1952, a daughter of Edward R. Rotchford of Waltham and the late Barbara M. (Curtin) Rotchford. She was a Waltham High School graduate and later attended Northeastern University in Boston.

A Watertown resident for the past thirty years she worked for twenty-six years as a lab manager at Smith Kline Clinical Laboratories until disability forced her retirement.

In addition to her father, Ed, she leaves her daughter, Melanie Lenz Rotchford of Acton; her brothers, Steven E. Rotchford of Waltham and Gregg D. Rotchford of Framingham; her close friend, Genia Lenz of Acton and several nieces and nephews.

Joyce was also the sister of the late Michael S. Rotchford.

Family and friends will honor and remember Joyce's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, February 24th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemtery, Waltham.
