Waltham - Mrs. Julia A. (Chavez) Benjamin, of Waltham, died Friday, January 20, 2017, in the Woburn Nursing Center. She was 91. Mrs. Benjamin was born in Mexico City, Mexico, on February 16, 1925.
She was the wife of the late Hobart L. Benjamin and the mother of the late Jose M. Benjamin.
Julia is survived by her son, Edward L. Benjamin and his wife, Michelle, of Burlington and five grandchildren.
Family and friends will honor and remember Julia's life by gathering for calling hours on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham and again on Tuesday at 9 am before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
