Junior Costly Soriano, of Waltham, died Wednesday May 12, 2022 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He was 40.
Junior was born on November 12, 1981 in Ocotepeque, Honduras, the son of Gustavo Ramírez Soriano and Angelica Maria Rodezno. He was raised in Honduras and immigrated to the United States in 2001 where he continued to love and play soccer. In 2003, he married Lindsey Dexter in Watertown, Massachusetts and the two settled in Waltham were they raised their daughter Cynthia. Cynthia was truly Junior's whole world.
Junior was funny and kind and valued family above all else. Working in many capacities as a handyman throughout his life, he really was Mr. Fixit, always willing to lend a hand to family and friends especially when it came to home improvement. He loved his life in the United States, especially because of the family he created here, however he missed his family, back in his native Honduras, dearly.
He leaves his wife, Lindsey (Dexter) Soriano and his daughter, Cynthia Soriano of Waltham; his parents, Gustavo Ramírez Soriano and Angelica Maria Rodezno; his siblings, Jilberth, Wilson, Leidy Waldina, Erika, Mayra, Vanessa, and Yulissa. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his godchildren.
Family and friends will honor and remember Junior's life by gathering for calling hours on Thursday May 19th from 4 to 8 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham and again on Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. before leaving in procession to Saint Agnes Church, 32 Medford St, Arlington, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m.
Burial in his native Honduras will take place at a later date.
