Waltham Miss Katharina Kirsch of Waltham, formerly of Boston, died Friday, April 1, 2005 in her home. She was 76. Miss Kirsch was born in Konigsberg, Germany and was raised and educated in Germany. She had lived in Boston for many years, coming to the United States in 1970. She had been a Waltham resident since 2001. Miss Kirsch was a research technician for the Massachusetts General Hospital from 1970 until her retirement in 1996. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church on Berkeley Street in Boston. She was the daughter of the late Egon and Elisabeth (Wernich) Kirsch and the sister of the late Ortrun Mueller. Miss Kirsch is survived by her brothers, Hans Otto Kirsch, Werner Kirsch, and Karl Kirsch all of Germany; her sister, Gunder E. Brotchie of England; and many nieces and nephews including Dorothea Herreiner of Maine and Gesa E. Kirsch of Watertown. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the First Lutheran Church, 299 Berkeley Street, Boston. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
