Katherine R. Frisoli

Waltham – Mrs. Katherine R. Frisoli, of Waltham, died Saturday, December 13, 2008 in her home after a courageous battle with mesothelioma. She was 77.

Born in Newton, a daughter of the late Michael and Julia (Caruso) Nicolazzo, Katherine lived 52 years in Waltham. She was a child care provider for many families in the Wellesley, Weston and Wayland communities, retiring in 2002. She was a graduate of Newton North High School and the former University Secretarial School in Cambridge.

Katherine leaves her husband of 52 years, Donato T. 'Dan' Frisoli; her children, Daniel M. Frisoli of Boston, Donna M. Frisoli of Waltham, Cheryl A. Bibault and her husband, Jacques, of Holliston, and Judith A. Bater and her husband, David, of Sutton; her grandchildren, David and Eric Bater; her brother, Patrick 'Pat' Nicolazzo and his wife, Rose, of Framingham; her sister, Rose Shapiro and her husband, Sid, of Newton and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Michael Nicolazzo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9 a.m. Tuesday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
