Katherine E. LeFort

Eastham – Mrs. Katherine E. (Allen) LeFort, 93, died Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at Royal Megansett Nursing Home in North Falmouth. Mrs. LeFort was born in Brighton, raised in Newton, and spent most of her married life in Watertown and in Waltham. After the death of her husband, Albert J. LeFort, in 1975 she remained in Waltham until 1991, when she moved to her daughter and son-in-law’s home in Eastham. She was an active member of the Senior Center and Senior Bowling League in Waltham for many years. After moving to Eastham, she joined the Senior Bowling League in Orleans where she was a member for ten years. Mrs. LeFort is survived by her daughters, Joanne O’Donnell of Falmouth, Shirley Sabin of Eastham, and Norma Wilkinson of Poplar Bluff MO; two sisters, Lillian Callahan of Norwood and Gertrude Mason of Andover, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham. Burial will be in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery in Watertown. Donations in Mrs. LeFort’s memory to the Residents’ Activity Fund, Royal Megansett Nursing Home, 209 County Road, North Falmouth, MA 02556 would be appreciated.
