Kathleen A. (Walsh) DePamphilis

January 18, 1932 — August 8, 2024

Sudbury

Kathleen A. (Walsh) DePamphilis, of Sudbury, formerly of Belmont, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, August 8, 2024. She was 92.

Kathleen was born January 18, 1932 in Boston a daughter of the late Irish immigrants Michael and Elizabeth (Davis) Walsh. She was raised and educated in Charlestown. Kathleen was a longtime resident of Belmont, where she raised her five daughters, before her move to Sudbury twenty-five years ago. She also worked for many years at Sancta Maria Hospital in Cambridge, Waltham Hospital and Symmes Hospital in Arlington before retiring.

The second oldest of nine children, she took on the responsibility of caring for her siblings from a young age. Kathleen discovered her greatest joy, being a grandmother. She cherished the time spent caring for her grandchildren and provided invaluable support to her daughters, allowing them to pursue their careers knowing their children were in the best of hands.

Kathleen was a woman of great faith and a devout parishioner at Saint Joseph’s Church in Belmont for many years. She was an active member of Sodality. Her strength to take care of so many others came from her faith.

She leaves her daughters, Rachele M. DePamphilis - Maloney (Joseph) of Sudbury, Marianne DePamphilis - Caccavaro (Ronald) of Sandwich, Kathleen A. MacLeod (Robert) of Natick, Elizabeth T. Snow (Douglas) of Wayland and Ellen M. Analetto (John) of Framingham; her grandchildren, Melissa Harvey (Brian), Amanda Glassman (Steve), Eric Snow, Robert and Brian MacLeod, Lyle and Alexa Analetto, and Laura, Connor (Celeste) and Elizabeth Maloney; her great-grandchildren Evelyn, Brooklyn, James and Olivia; her siblings, Harold Walsh of California, Michael Walsh of Quincy, Alice Ridlon of Braintree, Ruth McGee of Hanover; David Walsh (Joan) of Peabody, John Walsh of Whitman, her sisters-in-law Lucia DePamphilis of Lawrence, and Carol Walsh of Charlestown, also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Kathleen was predeceased by her former husband, Albert R. DePamphilis; her siblings, Gerald Walsh and Mary Reilly (William) and her brothers-in-law, Robert Ridlon and Robert McGee.
