Kathleen A. (Brown) Donovan

Weymouth – Kathleen A. (Brown) Donovan, of Weymouth, died Thursday, October 8, 2015 at her home. She was 62.

Kathy was born in Lynn on October 4, 1953, a daughter of Thomas A. Brown of West Yarmouth and the late Doris M. (Burgess) Brown, and moved to Waltham when she was five. She graduated from Waltham High School and from Saint Elizabeth's Hospital School of Nursing.

A Weymouth resident for the past two years, she had also lived in Duxbury, Arlington and in Dorchester. She worked as a registered nurse at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital in Brighton and in later years for Olympus Healthcare as a nursing coordinator. Kathy was a friend to all and loved by many.

In addition to her father, she leaves her husband, Robert S. Morong, Jr.; her children, Daniel C. Donovan, Kimberly A. Donovan and James M. Donovan, all of Dorchester; her sister and brothers, Patricia M. Cordova of Phoenix, Arizona, Kenneth A. Brown of Canterbury, New Hampshire, Paul M. Brown of Lebanon, New Hampshire and Timothy J. Brown of Sudbury; 2 grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Kathy's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, October 13th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
