Kenneth R. Hietsch

Plymouth – Mr. Kenneth R. Hietsch, of Plymouth, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He was 57.

Ken was born in Waltham on December 9, 1956, a son of the late Ronald G. and Lorraine P. (Huber) Hietsch. He was raised in Waltham and was a graduate of Waltham High. He had lived for a number of years in Framingham and in Natick before moving to Plymouth.

He had been working for the Shumacher Company in West Bridgewater and before that was the longtime service manager for the Casey & Dupuis Equipment Corporation in Watertown.

Ken loved to golf. He belonged to White Cliffs Country Club in Plymouth where he was the 2011 Club Champion and he enjoyed many trips with his wife over the years to Bermuda where he fulfilled his passion for the game.

He leaves his wife, Helen M. (Calvert) Hietsch; his brothers, Ronald G. Hietsch of Palm Beach, Florida, Thomas M. Hietsch and his wife, Evelyn, of Waltham and Martin H. Hietsch and his wife, Pam, of Tewksbury and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Ken's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, May 16th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Committal services will follow in Newton Cemetery Chapel.
