Mr. Kenneth W. Lord, of Waltham, died Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. He was 80.
Born and raised in Winchester, a son of the late Walter B. and Beatrice J. (Potter) Lord, he had lived in Waltham for many years. Until his retirement in 1987, Ken had worked as a senior computer operator for the Raytheon Corporation for forty-seven years.
Ken was a former member of the Massachusetts National Guard, Company G, 122nd Regimental Combat Team, and a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 4978.
He was the husband of the late Grace A. (Casella) Lord, and brother of the late Forrest J. Lord and Harold I. Lord.
Ken leaves his dear friend, Velma Lewis of Waltham, his godchild, Jean Marie(Mantenuto) Stannard of Barre and many other nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friend are invited to attend the Funeral on Tuesday at 9 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m.
