Watertown – Mr. Kevin B. Finnerty, of Watertown, died Monday, September 6, 2010 at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Cambridge. He was 67.

Kevin was born in Boston on October 7, 1942, a son of the late Peter and Margaret (Kelly) Finnerty, and raised in Somerville. He served with the Air National Guard during the Vietnam War. He moved to Watertown five years ago after having been a twenty-six year resident of Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York where he always maintained his loyalty to the Boston Red Sox.

He leaves his beloved wife of 42 years, of Angela G. (Curcuru) Finnerty; his children, Kathleen G. Finnerty, Kerry A. Mastroianni and her husband, Vincent, all of Waltham and Sean P. Finnerty and his girlfriend, Michele Glasburgh of Willow Spring, North Carolina; his grandchildren, Kevin O. Finnerty of Campo, California, Haley P. Finnerty of Newburgh, New York and Anthony, Christopher and Alyssa Mastroianni all of Waltham; his brothers and sister, John Finnerty and his wife, Barbara, of Florida, Thomas Finnerty of Harwich and Mary Robinson of West Medford; his mother-in-law, Jennie Curcuru of Gloucester; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeanne Finnerty, Margaret Finnerty, Maria Lovett and her husband, Dale, Janet Crunden and her husband, John, Joseph Curcuru and his wife, Christine and many nieces and nephews.

He was also a brother of the late Peter Finnerty; son-in-law of the late James Curcuru; and brother-in-law of the late Joyce Finnerty, Richard Robinson and Anthony Militello.

Family and friends will honor and remember Kevin’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Wednesday, September 8th, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on Thursday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
