Waltham – Mr. Kevin J. O'Connor, of Waltham, died Saturday, January 16, 2016. He was 51.
Kevin was born in Boston on June 15, 1964, a son of the late Michael and Brigid (McBrien) O'Connor and had been a lifelong resident of Waltham.
He was a retired Waltham Police detective and had worked as a private investigator. Most recently Kevin worked at Fiorella's Restaurant in Newton and before that was a manager at the Stockyard in Brighton.
Kevin leaves his children, Jessica A. Crusco and her husband, Stephen, of Waltham, Colleen M. O'Connor and her fiancé, Brendon Clark, of Boston and Ryan C. O'Connor of Waltham; his grandchildren, Conor and Kayla Crusco; his brothers, James O'Connor of Waltham, Terence O'Connor and his partner, Mark Fraga, of Everett and Paul O'Connor and his wife, Sarah, of Woburn and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the husband of the late Jeannine M. (Peabody) O'Connor and a brother of the late John O'Connor.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 22nd from 3 to 8 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20) Waltham. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
