Konstantins J. Guminskis

Waltham – Mr. Konstantins J. 'Konnie' Guminskis, of Waltham, died Monday, May 12, 2008 in his home. He was 85. Born in Latvia, a son of the late John and Barbara (Seibelis) Guminskis, Konnie came to the United States after World War II and became a U.S. citizen. He had been a Waltham resident for more than 50 years. He was a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and until his retirement had worked as an engineer for the Polaroid Corporation in Waltham. Konnie had also been a longtime communicant at Saint Mary's Church in Waltham. Konnie was the husband of the late Helen M. ( Smith) Guminskis. He leaves his sister, Victoria Grunte of Sweden; two nephews, Edmund and John Grunte and several friends and neighbors. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15th in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m.
