Laura Waite

Waltham – Ms. Laura Waite died Sunday, September 17, 2017 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital after being stricken ill at home. She was 59.

Laura was born on February 19, 1958 in Waltham a daughter of Joan L. (Nies) Waite and the late Paul S. Waite. Raised and educated in Waltham she was a graduate of Waltham High School with the class of 1976.

She had worked as a monitor for J.S.C. Transportation Company in Waltham. She most recently was a volunteer at The Community Day Center in Waltham. She enjoyed painting, crafts, jewelry and the company of family and good friends.

She is predeceased by her father, Paul and her brother-in-law, Kenneth Rose.

Laura leaves her daughter, Christy L. Waite of Waltham; her mother, Joan L. Waite of Waltham; her siblings, Steven Waite of Waltham, Brian P. Waite and his wife, Barbara of Ayer, Mark Waite of Waltham and Paula Rose of Pepperell; her nephews, Brian P. Waite Jr., Kenneth and Brandon Rose; also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends will honor and remember Laura's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, September 22nd from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude's Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
