Laurence B. Langton

August 28, 1921 — May 2, 2007

Mr. Laurence B. Langton, formerly of Waltham and Ft. Pierce, Florida, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007 in Falmouth Hospital. He was 85. Born in Richmond, Virginia, Mr. Langton had lived for many years in Waltham and was a retired Waltham Firefighter. He was a graduate of Medford High School and the Casey Jones School of Aeronautics. During World War II, Mr. Langton served with the United States Air Force. Mr. Langton is survived by his wife, Mary (Hayes) Langton; his children, Mary Beth Ellis and her husband, Edward, of Bourne, Ginny Graham and her husband, James, of Falls Church, Virginia, Lauren Robinson and her husband, Howard, of Bourne, Laurence Langton and his wife, Susan, of Silver Springs, Maryland, William Langton and his wife, Laura, of Waltham, and Paula Langton and her husband, Kenneth Cheeseman, of Newton; nineteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Langton was the son of the late William and Laura (Bragan) Langton and the brother of the late William E. Langton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Saturday at 11 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham, followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham at 12 Noon. Burial will be in Saint Bernard’s Cemetery, Concord. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Focolare Movement, P.O. Box 716, Hyde Park, NY 12538 would be appreciated.
