Leona P. (Aucoin) Aucoin

Waltham - Leona P. (Aucoin) Aucoin died Tuesday, September 19, 2023 in Maristhill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 92.

Leona was born in Newton on February 15, 1931 a daughter of the late Henrietta (Poirier) Waldo Aucoin and Henriette (Poirier) Aucoin and her step-father the late William Aucoin.

She was married to Robert P. Aucoin until his passing on April 9, 1993.

Leona worked at both Printed Circuit Corporation and later Raytheon before retiring. She treasured time with her family as well as reading.

In addition to her husband, Robert she is predeceased by sister, Shirley (Aucoin) Griffin.

She leaves her eight children, Donald J. Aucoin of Washington, DC, David P. Aucoin (Karen) of Wilmington, Darlene M. Rogers (Richard Niles) of Waltham, Debra A. Aucoin (Linda Barletta) of Natick, Douglas R. Aucoin (Sandra) of Ashland, Dana W. Aucoin, Darrin C. Aucoin (Deborah), and Denise D. Williamson (Stephen) all of Waltham; her grandchildren: Melanie Sullivan (Ronnie Jr) , Christopher Rogers, David Aucoin Jr. (Marybeth), Scott Rogers (Kathryn), Tyler Aucoin (Dara Nay), Kyle Aucoin, Kaitlin Aucoin, Preston  Aucoin (Shayna Laporte), Brent Aucoin (Sara Beauregard), Reid Aucoin (Danielle Spinner), and Samuel Williamson; her great-grandchildren,  Kirsten Cormier, Ronan Sullivan, Haley Sullivan, Cameron Laporte, Anslea Aucoin, Carter Grace Aucoin, Hadley Aucoin, McKenna Aucoin, Colton Aucoin; her brother, Emery Aucoin (Mary Ann Conti) of Auburndale; also survived by many nieces & nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Leona's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, September 25th from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning when her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham.
