Leonard C. Farrell

Watertown- Mr. Leonard C. Farrell of Watertown died Tuesday December 2, 2008 in his home. He was 78. Born in Newton, a son of the late Frank and Mary (Allen) Farrell, Mr. Farrell had lived in Newton and Waltham for many years before moving to Watertown this past year. Mr. Farrell was a detective with the Newton Police Department for many years until his retirement. He was a past president for the New England Police Photographers Association, a former coach for many years for the Newton High School Rifle Team and had also served with the United States Navy. Mr. Farrell was the father of the late Christopher D. Farrell, Debra L. Ellis and brother of the late Francis Farrell. He leaves his wife, M. Doreen (Campbell) Farrell, one grandson, Bryan Ellis and his wife Brenda of Buffalo, New York, two great- grandchildren, Bryanna and Aidan Ellis, his brother and sister in law, Donald and Sheila Davies of Hudson and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services and burial will be private.
