Waltham – Mr. Leonard Farrell died unexpectedly on Thursday, December 6, 2018 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 77.
Leonard was born June 18, 1941 in Christmas Island, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada one of fifteen children to the late John and Cecilia (MacLean) Farrell. He was married to Ann E. (MacMaster) Farrell for 45 years until her death on January 8, 2018. He owned and operated his own cleaning company, Farrell's House Cleaning Services for many years before retiring in 2012.
In addition to his wife, Ann, he was the brother of the late Lizzy, Neil, Peggy, Mary Jo MacDonald and Johnny.
He leaves his children, Brian A. Farrell, Steven R. Farrell (Nanor), David P. Farrell and Sandra E. Farrell; his grandchildren, Kendall, Kai, Brody, Shant, Alex and Armen; his siblings, Dan Farrell of Billerica, Irene Hasson of Canada, Anne Marie Farrell of Canada, Marion 'Molly' MacKenzie of Watertown, Lexi MacMullin of Canada, Roderick Farrell of Canada, Fonzie Farrell of Canada, Angus Farrell of Canada and Kathy MacDonald of Quincy; many nieces & nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Leonard's life by gathering on Friday, December 14th in the The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, where his funeral service will be held at 11 am. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
