Waltham – Mrs. Liliane M. (Boulay) Vaglica, of Waltham, died on Thursday, December 25, 2014 after a brave battle with Kidney and Heart disease. She was 81.
Liliane was born in Ottawa, Canada on February 21, 1933, a daughter of the late Antonio and Gabrielle (St. Onge) Boulay. She had been a resident of Waltham since 1958, where she married Anthony, and raised her daughter, Laura. Liliane worked at the Waltham Supermarket and retired from the Fernald School in Waltham where she was a secretary for 23 years.
Liliane was a loving mother, a devoted grandmother and a caring friend. She loved to cook and bake and enjoyed delivering her treats to her friends and family. There was not a holiday, birthday or special occasion that they weren't all together. In her spare time she enjoyed playing bingo and Keno with her friends. Her lifelong dream was to visit Hawaii.
She was the wife of the late Anthony P. Vaglica and is survived by her daughter, Laura A. Cryts and her husband, David, of Derry, New Hampshire; her grandchildren, Leanne Cryts and her fiancé, Michael Kelleher, also of Derry and Benjamin Cryts of West Newton, MA, her sister-in-law, Constance Pitoniak of Waltham; Many family members from Canada including her niece Diane Boulay and cousin Denise Berrigan and many dear friends including Loretta and Diane Bourgeois of Waltham and all her wonderful friends at St. Mary Apartments.
There will be a blessing service at the Martha Mary Chapel, Wayside Inn Rd., in Sudbury, Massachusetts at noon on Friday, January 2nd with a Celebration of Life luncheon at the Wayside Inn directly after.
