Waltham - Mrs. Lillian M. (Guilfoyle) Curran, of Waltham, died Thursday, November 11, 2010 in her home. She was 80.
Lillian was born in Boston on August 30, 1930, a daughter of the late Michael and Winifred (McIntyre) Guilfoyle and had lived in Waltham since 1951. Until her retirement she had worked for many years as an industrial buyer for the Itek Company in Lexington. Lillian was a 1948 graduate of Saint Patrick’s High School in Roxbury and had also received her associate’s degree from Boston University.
She was the wife of the late Donald E. Curran and sister of the late Josephine Maloney and Ruth Rivard.
Lillian leaves her daughter, Anne W. Bond and her husband, Andrew, of Southborough; her grandchildren, Zachary, Oona, Samuel and Amelia; one brother, James Guilfoyle of Old Bridge, New Jersey; one sister, Veronica Kramer of Waltham and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Lillian’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Sunday, November 14th, from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Monday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
