Lina F. Maciariello

Ms. Lina (Lena) F. Maciariello, of Lexington, formerly of Lawrence, died Sunday July 13, 2008 at Lexington Healthcare. She was 82. Born in Lawrence, a daughter of the late Alberico and Concetta (Cascavilla) Maciariello, Lina graduated from the former Tenney High School in Methuen and lived most of her life in the Lawrence and Methuen area before moving to Lexington in 1990. Lina was a secretary for the Town of Arlington Council on Aging for many years. Lina loved her family and her children were proud of their mother who raised them as a single parent. She also loved animals, especially cats and music of all kinds. Lina is the sister of the late, Alfred Maciariello, Antoinette Legere and Mary Longo. She leaves her children, Jane M. Lockard of Derry, New Hampshire, Gary A. Lockard of Danielson, Connecticut, Elizabeth A. DeMarco of Lowell, James J. DeMarco and his wife, Mary Ellen, of Methuen, Ruth E. Anklin and her husband, Daniel, of Waltham, Julie A. Wafai of Methuen and Vincent J. DeMarco of Lawrence; three brothers, Peter Maciariello of Methuen, Albert Maciariello of Salem, New Hampshire and Edward Maciariello of Sterling, Alaska. Lina is also survived by 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services Thursday at 12 noon, in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham. Burial will be private.
