Waltham— Mrs. Linda A. (LeBlanc) Freda, of Waltham, died on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 78.
Linda was born in Waltham on March 5, 1944, one of five daughters born to the late Henry and Mary (Williams) LeBlanc. She was a graduate of Waltham High School with the Class of 1962 and had worked as a secretary in Waltham and at the former Grover Cronin's on Moody Street.
Linda was the treasurer of the Saint Jude Couple's Club, was a board member of the Waltham Community Chorus, served on her high school class reunion committee, and had performed in many local shows throughout the years. Linda was also a member of The Patriot Daylily Society and had a daylily named after her. Of all the activities that kept her busy, her most cherished job was caring for her family!
Linda was the devoted wife of the late Kenneth D. Freda; the extraordinary mother of Candace M. Freda-Medbery and Kenneth D. Freda, Jr., both of Waltham; the loving grandmother of Autumn Renee and Amber Rose Medbery; sister of Beverly Kenny of Lancaster and the late Patricia LaFrance Gavel, Carol Antico, and Gloria Defelice. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their families.
Family and friends will honor and remember Linda's life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, on Wednesday, September 7th at 10 a.m. followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
