Waltham – Ms. Ling Ling Zhang, of Waltham, died Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Care One at Brookline. She was 87.

Ling Ling was born on March 10, 1929 in Suzhou, a city in the Chinese province of Jiangsu, and immigrated to the United States thirty years ago. She was a physician who specialized in radiology.

She enjoyed gardening and found great peace in her Buddhist faith. She also enjoyed traveling with Buddhist companions to destinations beyond her native China.

The wife of the late Jue Cao, she leaves her daughter, Yili Cao, of Waltham; her granddaughter, Stephanie Wang of Savannah, Georgia and siblings in China.

Family and friends will honor and remember Ling Ling's life by gathering to visit at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 21st before leaving in procession at 1 o'clock to Newton Cemetery Chapel, 791 Walnut Street, Newton Centre where a Buddhist ceremony will be held. A reception will follow the ceremony at Yangtze River Restaurant, 25 Depot Square, Lexington.
