Lake Worth, FL – Mr. Lionel C. Cormier, of Lake Worth, formerly of Waltham and Natick, died Monday, June 14, 2010 at Milford Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was 84.
Lionel was born in Waltham on December 22, 1925, a son of the late Gregory and Jeanne (Legere) Cormier and had been a Waltham resident before moving to Natick in 1957. He moved to Lake Worth twelve years ago. During World War II Lionel served with the United States Navy. Until his retirement he worked as a machine shop foreman for the Charles Supper Company in Natick.
The husband of the late Lorraine M. (Gastonguay) Cormier he leaves his children, Kenneth P. Cormier of North Port, Florida, Carol A. Belisle of Raynham, Larry Cormier of North Carolina, Jane M. Daley of Ashland and Judy E. Lazaros of Lunenburg; one sister, Rita Beaudoin; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Lionel was a brother of the late Raymond Cormier, Viola Syvente, Doris DeMarco and Florence McMenimen.
Family and friends will honor and remember Lionel’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and again at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
