Waltham Mr. Lionel A. Plamondon of Waltham died Monday, February 28, 2005 at his home. He was 71. A lifelong resident of Waltham, he was a son of the late Donat A. and Fleurette A. (LaChapelle) Plamondon. Until his retirement, Mr. Plamondon worked as the Assistant Executive Director of the Waltham Housing Authority from 1989 to 2003. Prior to that he worked for many years as a local home builder. He was also a U.S. Army veteran. He had also been a member of the Waltham Zoning Board of Appeals from 1978 to 1989 and served as chairman during his last two years on the board. He was also an adviser to the Massachusetts NAHRO Insurance Trust. Mr. Plamondon was a benefactor of the Waltham Boys & Girls Club, the Salvation Army and the Greater Waltham Association for Retarded Citizens. He also enjoyed attending performances of the Boston Symphony. He is survived by his wife, Norma A. (Read) Plamondon, several nieces and nephews and a dear friend, Patricia McGrath of Waltham. He was the brother of the late Raynald R. Plamondon and Marielle T. Gentes. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services at 10 a.m. Friday in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
