Waltham – Lorraine F. (Ranucci) Allain died on Monday, October 9, 2017 in Maristhill Nursing Center of Waltham. She was 68.
Lorraine was born in Boston on April 5, 1949, a daughter of the late Anthony and Margaret (Connearney) Ranucci. She was raised and educated in Waltham and was a 1967 graduate of Waltham High School. For many years she worked as a certified nursing assistant. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and ceramics.
She was the beloved mother of Sandra Haché (Thomas) of Hudson, Christine Donovan (Matthew) of Waltham and Mary Allain (Brian Silva) of Hudson. Grandmother of Julia and Jeremy Haché, Grace Donovan and Matthew Gallagher. Sister of Anthony Ranucci (Anne Marie) of Waltham, Richard Ranucci of North Chelmsford, Patricia Aucoin of Waltham, Jean Butler of Waltham, Charlene Cormier (Frank) of Harvard, Margaret Pittorino (late Joseph) of Concord, Karen Maines (Stephen) of Mashpee and Pamela Roche (Richard) of Acton and the late Mary Frigault, Joseph Ranucci and William Ranucci. Sister-in-law of Catherine Ranucci and Deborah Ranucci. Longtime-companion of Jerry Bonadio of Leominster. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Lorraine's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, October 13th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to St. Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall St., Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
