Waltham – Lorraine C. (Hession) Gordon, of Waltham, passed peacefully on Saturday January 29th in Belmont Manor Nursing Home after a period of declining health. She was 86.
Lorraine was born in Waltham on June 12, 1935, the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Irene C. (Walsh) Hession. She graduated from Waltham High School with the class of 1953, and was a lifelong Waltham resident. Lorraine had been a very active parishioner at Saint Jude's Church. Later in life, while living at The Mill on Moody Street, Lorraine enjoyed walking the neighborhood with her very special friends. She also enjoyed traveling to Maine with her brother Jerry and her late sister-in-law Dee Dee.
She was also a very passionate animal lover, and had a special fondness for her cherished two dogs, Mischa and Amy.
She is survived by her loving brother Paul 'Jerry' Hession, her son Charles M. Gordon Jr. (Christine) and their two children Alessandra and Taylor, and many dear friends, nieces, nephews and their families.
She was also the sister of the late Barbara J. Sevigny, John C.Hession, James M.Hession and Joseph F. Hession, Jr.
Family and friends will honor and remember Lorraine's life by gathering at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday February 4th at 9:30 a.m. A procession will then follow to Saint Jude's Church where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
