Lorraine M. (Tolan) LeBlanc

Waltham - Mrs. Lorraine M. (Tolan) LeBlanc, of Waltham, died Friday, July 23, 2021 at Waltham Crossings. She was 91.

Lorraine was born in Newton on January 18, 1930, a daughter of the late James and Margaret (Farrar) Tolan and was raised in Waltham. She was a graduate of Waltham High School.

Following her marriage to Paul E. "Eddie" LeBlanc, the couple made Waltham their lifelong home. They were parishioners of Saint Jude Church where Lorraine belonged to the Ladies Sodality and had been a longtime active volunteer at the parish school.

Until she retired Lorraine worked for years as an operator for the New England Telephone Company and after that became a well-known school crossing guard in Waltham.

She and her family enjoyed camping and belonged to the North American Family Campers Association where Lorraine held office in several local chapters. She was also active at the Waltham Senior Center and was a charter member of the Loyal Order of Moose Women's Chapter No. 2456 in Waltham.

She was the wife of the late Paul E. "Eddie" LeBlanc, mother of the late Joseph Paul LeBlanc, Marie T. Faherty and Lawrence J. LeBlanc and sister of the late John "Jackie", Richard and James Tolan, Patricia Poisson, Rita Zani and Ruth O'Neil.

Lorraine leaves her children, Paul J. LeBlanc of Waltham and Mark E. LeBlanc (Karen) of Watertown; her grandchildren, Denis and Lauren LeBlanc and Jared and Joshua Faherty and her great-granddaughter, Stella Cole.

Family and friends will honor and remember Lorraine's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, July 29th from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9:30 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
